About Us

Founder & CEO

Born in Cape Cod, MA, Adam found his love for the mountains early, starting to ski at just 2 years old in Stowe, VT. At age 10 he started snowboarding and became a 5-time National Champion and member of the first-ever Olympic Snowboard Team in 1998. In 1999 he started his second business, an e-commerce marketplace and software application geared to INFLUENCERS. Achieving break-even at $4m in yearly revenue, he and his partner sold the business in 2005 and it continues to be the market leader today. For the next 15 years Adam focused on construction and custom homes in Cape Cod and Boston. After buying, selling and operating several businesses in Massachusetts, Adam now spends most of his time in Vermont with his wife and twin boys who ski race — the inspiration behind Capture.

Co-Creator& Tech Manager

Joe was born and raised in Vermont and his love for outdoor sports runs deep. He graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, where afterwards he pursued his passion for technology with a prominent medical device company. With over ten years of experience developing data acquisition and analysis software, Joe has finally combined his love for the outdoors and tech, to help build the software that drives Capture.

Co-Creator

Emmett was born in California and raised in Stowe where he spent endless hours on the mountain. He is a passionate developer, and recent UVM graduate with a Computer Science and Information Systems degree and a minor in Business Management. During his college internship he developed an algorithm to synthesize relationships between investment portfolios.  When he is not programing, Emmett enjoys keeping up with the latest news in science and technology. Emmett participates in implementing software solutions to create a dynamic user experience at Capture.

Software Specialist 

Prior to working at Capture Video Technologies, Michael worked as a data science intern at Harbour Square Capital where he performed price and weather prediction using Deep Neural Networks. At Boston College, he worked with a team of researchers develop-

ing robotic A.I. along with Deep Learning algorithms used to detect renal cysts 

using ultrasound imagery. He has experience in automating systems using Natural Language Processing and Neural Networks. Michael holds a B.S. in both Computer Science and Finance from Boston College.

Sales & Marketing

John (JD) Goettelmann graduated from UVM spring 2022 with a degree in Marketing from the Grossman School of Business. Outside of his education JD has spent his time ripping up trails and shredding the slopes. A combination that helps him excel in both promotion and development for Capture Sports. He is a motivated member of the Capture Sports team excited to play his role in the growth of our company.

Field Operations/ Cinematographer

Adrian was raised in the Sierra Nevadas along the shores of Lake Tahoe. It was here, that his love for the outdoors began. He studied film at the University of Colorado, where he served as media director for the CU Snowboard Team. Since graduation, he has been a practicing videographer, photographer and editor, working everywhere from the snowy peaks of Alaska to the sands of the Sahara. Today he brings his creative talent to the majestic green mountain state, working with CaptureVT.
